WHY WE CREATED THIS ASSOCIATION

Abejamos Association was founded in Conil de la Frontera (Cádiz, Spain) in 2021 with the aim of protecting bees, promoting responsible beekeeping, and contributing to the conservation of biodiversity.

Bees face numerous threats, including the use of pesticides, the loss of biodiversity, parasites such as Varroa destructor, predators such as the Oriental hornet (Vespa orientalis), and certain inappropriate beekeeping practices.

We believe that education, the exchange of knowledge and experience, and collaboration are essential tools for improving hive health, strengthening bee populations, and protecting the environment.

For these reasons, our association was established: to increase awareness and understanding of bees, support sustainable beekeeping, and promote respect for nature and rural communities.
